This 4” Dream catcher was made by Navajo Artist, Darlene Edsitty in the 4 Corners area of New Mexico, USA.

Navajo dream catchers are traditional handmade items believed to filter dreams. Typically crafted with a wooden hoop, often wrapped in leather, they feature a woven web at the center. Decorated with feathers, beads, and other natural materials, these dream catchers are hung above sleeping areas. According to Navajo tradition, they allow good dreams to pass through the web while trapping bad dreams, which dissipate with the morning light. These intricate and symbolic creations serve as both protective talismans and beautiful pieces of Native American art.
